In a recent interview for Collider, John Barrowman spoke about his character, season 3 of Arrow and Willa. For the whole interview click here.
Your characters really only passed by each other before, but now there’s a definite shift in the dynamic between Malcolm and Thea. What’s it been like to work with Willa Holland, in this capacity?
BARROWMAN: I used to watch Willa on The O.C., as an avid fan, when my niece was growing up. That was our show that we would connect with and watch together. Ironically, we were both watching it for the same reason – for the hot guys in it. But, Willa is this amazing presence. She’s a wonderful young actress. It’s funny ‘cause she’s also got a really out there sense of humor, just like me. When she and I are on set together, we’ve actually said to each other, “We’re gonna have to rein this in and keep it under control.” The camera stops and we’re just nuts. I love to have a good time, but I love getting the work done, and she’s the same way. We’re known to have a bit of fun. The fact that our characters had never crossed is what made it even more surprising, when it was revealed that I was her father. It’s like, “Oh, my god!,” because you just never thought.
The actress forecasts darkness for her character Thea and teases big things for the season’s impossibly strong finish. Get the scoop!

You probably know her as the one and only Thea Queen from that show we love, Arrow (or if you’re total dorks like us, Marissa’s little sister from The OC). But don’t let her characters’ girly ways fool you, Willa Holland is cool as shit and her style is all #TKC. If we have anything to do with it, this burgeoning fashionista (expect some really cool stuff coming from her soon) is going to take over as your style muse real quick like. In Part One of our two part Willaaaahh series (yeah, one time around with this chick just wasn’t enough), the Hollywood veteran fills us in on how to get her enviable care-free locks and educates us on her look. And in Part Two? Well, you’ll just have to stay tuned.
TKC: What is your favorite city to travel to?
WH: Camogli, Italy or Forte De Marmi, Italy
TKC: Favorite city you have worked in?
WH: It’s a tie between Genoa, Italy and Vancouver. I have really fallen for this city.

Arrow Season 2 has been pretty good for Thea Queen so far. She has a job and a boyfriend, and her family life seems to be fairly stable.
That’s all going to change with the upcoming episode, “Deathstroke.” As actress Willa Holland puts it, “Life’s not easy for poor Thea” after this time. How bad is it going to get? How will Thea react? When Holland chatted with Zap2it recently, some answers emerged.
Zap2it: How is the “Deathstroke” episode going to go for Thea?
Willa Holland: I can say it’s a very, very intense one for Thea. There’s definitely a lot of stress going on in her world at the moment. We know that she gets kidnapped, and we definitely know that she’s in a state of major fear.

Slade Wilson has finally made his move against Oliver Queen in his quest for vengeance, and he is starting his attack by kidnapping Willa Holland’s Thea Queen.
Fans have been excited about this week’s episode, titled “Deathstroke,” so much so that some of them recreated The CW’s trailer with Legos – something Willa checked out for the first time during her interview with AccessHollywood.com.
“This is the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in my life,” Willa said of the clip, which features Lego Thea held captive by Lego Slade. “Oh my God! How did they do this? This is the greatest thing I have ever seen. This is literally the greatest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. … That’s amazing.”

Who are your top five favorite people in the world?
That could quite possibly be the hardest question to ask, but the obvious list makers would be my mother, father, two sisters, and the fifth would be all of my friends.
Who makes you laugh the most out of anyone you know?
Sam Muller.
Where is your favorite place to be?
[My] number one favorite city in the world so far is definitely Camogli, Italy.

Willa Holland rocks the Vancouver uniform like no one else.
She popped in to chat with the journalists wearing a giant coat and Uggs to keep warm in her character’s evening gown and jewels. A weird look, for sure, but no one can do it like Willa.
Willa’s character Thea is getting her life together.
“Thea Queen, I like to think, is doing better than most,” at the beginning of the season, said Willa. “Thea’s got herself together now. She’s got her head screwed on tight, a little tighter than before. She’s doing a bit better.” As for how she’s dealing with the tough times, Willa said, “She’s used to isolation. The last five months have been about self-growth for her.”
